§ 13-71. Signs.

  • The chief of police is hereby vested with authority to erect and place signs, markings and directions for the orderly parking of motor vehicles in public parks and upon public grounds surrounding public buildings of the city in order to eliminate traffic hazards and provide for the safe and orderly use of such facilities. Such authority shall include the right to forbid parking in particular areas and to erect signs informing the public that there is no parking in particular pubic areas. Such authority shall also include the right to erect permanent or semi-permanent signs and directions, or temporary signs and directions when particular crowds are anticipated for particular events.
