The hospital authority shall be governed by a board of directors composed of ten (10)
members. Each of the directors shall, unless other provisions be made in the bond
resolution or indenture in connection with the issuance of bonds as provided in Chapter
262 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of Texas (formerly Vernon's Ann. Civ.
St. Art. 4437e), serve for a term of two (2) years or until their successors are elected
or appointed by the city council, and have been duly qualified. Each of the directors,
and their successors in office, shall qualify by taking the oath of office required
of appointed officials of the state.
