§ 2-183. Special expense for issuance and service of arrest warrant.

  • (a)

    Any person who is arrested after issuance and service of an arrest warrant for an offense under V.T.C.A., Penal Code § 38.11 or under the uniform act regulating traffic on highways, Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. art. 6701d, § 149 shall be assessed a special expense by the judge of the municipal court in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Such special expense shall be paid into the city treasury for the use and benefit of the city.

    (b)

    After due notice of default of personal bond, a person who is arrested after issuance and service of an arrest warrant for failure to appear under the code of criminal procedure Vernon's Ann. C.C.P. art. 17.04 shall be assessed a special expense by the judge of the municipal court in the amount of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). Such special expense shall be paid into the city treasury for the use and benefit of the city.
