§ 9-31. Mobile homes outside parks.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to locate or maintain or cause to be located or maintained, any mobile home in any place of the city outside a duly authorized mobile home park, unless such person shall first secure a permit for parking outside of a mobile home park. Such parking may only be authorized in a commercial or industrial zoned area.

    (b)

    Permit for parking outside a mobile home park shall be obtained by the mobile home owner or occupant from the city secretary. The permit shall be for a period of one (1) year or fraction thereof at a fee of one dollar ($1.00). All permits issued will expire on the last day of December of each year and renewal will be made during the month of January of each year.

    (c)

    Permits shall be granted only upon the written consent of the owner, legal agent of the owner, or the lessee of the location for which issued. In addition, application must also include the following:

    (1)

    Name and address of the owner.

    (2)

    Description of the mobile home sufficient to identify it, including width, height, length, dimensions, weight, and manufacturer's serial number, if any, and date of manufacture.

    (3)

    The current year's registration or license number, if any.

    (4)

    Address where mobile home is located.

    (5)

    Purpose for which used.

    (6)

    Plan for water supply, sewage disposal, and garbage removal.

    The city secretary shall maintain a permanent record containing the above-described information and such other information as he may require from time to time.

    (d)

    Within one (1) month after the effective date of this ordinance all persons owning mobile homes located within the city, except those that are located in mobile home parks, shall secure a permit for parking from the city secretary. The permit will be for the remainder of the calendar year and shall be renewed during the month of January each year in compliance with this article.
